The Bulgarian Diocese. Most Orthodox churches in America were started by immigrants from other countries who wanted to continue their faith in their new homeland. St.Thomas' founders were originally from Bulgaria and although most of our parishioners are converts into the Orthodox faith, the church continues to be part of the Bulgarian diocese.
